CitiFoods Inspector — Privacy Policy

The CitiFoods Inspector app is used by authorised inspectors of ONLINE CITI FOODS PRIVATE LIMITED to conduct food-safety inspections of restaurants on the Citi Foods platform. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used.

Who can use the app

The app is for authorised staff inspectors only. Access requires an inspector account issued by ONLINE CITI FOODS PRIVATE LIMITED. It is not intended for general public use.

Information we collect

• Account information — the inspector's name, phone number and login credentials, used to authenticate and identify the inspector.
• Location (GPS) — the app reads the device location only when the inspector taps "Start Inspection", to confirm the inspector is physically at the restaurant being inspected. Location is not tracked in the background.
• Camera / photos — photos captured by the inspector during an inspection as evidence. These are uploaded to the Citi Foods server and used only for the inspection record.
• Inspection data — marks, remarks, signatures and results entered by the inspector.
• Device identifier — a device ID is stored to bind an inspector account to one device for security.

How we use it

The collected information is used solely to operate the Verified Restaurant Program: authenticating inspectors, validating on-site presence, recording inspection results, and issuing verification badges and certificates. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Data sharing

Inspection data is stored on Citi Foods servers and is accessible only to authorised Citi Foods administrators. We do not share personal data with third parties except as required by law.

Data retention

Inspection records and evidence are retained for the duration of the verification programme and as required for record-keeping. Inspector accounts remain until deactivated by an administrator.

Permissions

The app requests Location and Camera permissions strictly for the purposes described above. You may revoke these in your device settings, though this will prevent inspections from being completed.
